New York and Company

just a little note:

I went shopping and New York and Company and bought a few of there shirts. I was very displeased with the quality of the shirts!! I followed the washing directions and two if the shirts shrunk at least by half and it looks like if I wash them one more time, its going to fall apart. Maybe its just this specific type of shirt that they sell, but watch out shoppers! I wouldn't want you to spend $20.00 on a shirt that you can wear once!!

That is really bad, I was a frequent shopper at NYC but recently I have stopped going to them completely. Yeah I did have the same experience with one of my shirt that I bought from NYC. It was fine until I washed it, the color of the shirt was black to start with. After a first wash it just became faded black.
I spent 16 dollars for it and I still repent looking at that shirt.

I have some clothing from NYC, and I have to say the material
is not the best,it could be a lot better. Overall I'm happy with the
apperance of the item. I have not had any fading or shrinkage.
I think it's best to wash some things by hand. I would also let
them know that their merchandise is not worth the money.

Thanks for the warning, even though I
love that store and brand, I don't want to
buy a shirt for 20 dollars and have it shrink on
me either. I think I will save my 20 dollars for
something with better fabric quality. Thanks
for sharing the experiences ladies!

All the clothes are not poor quality.
You have to judge for yourself. I still
have some nice pieces. Stay away from
the darker colors. Those are the ones that
might fade after washing.
