Activities for Kids

Since school has been out
have the kids been sitting around
bored? It is always best to have
something planned. Kids need
to stay active.I will share ideas
with you,to get the kids out of
the house everyday.

Introduce the kids to art.
The museum is a great place to start.
Let them explore the place.Admission
is free,or very inexpensive. Tell them
to pick a favorite painting. Discuss the
painting when you get home. Find information
online about the artist. This is also educational
for the entire family.

You don't need a net, kick
the soccer ball around the
yard with the kids. Weight
gain is possible in the summer
when there is liitle activity.This
is a good way to get them moving.
Keep plenty of water around, everybody
needs to stay hydrated.

If you live in the country,this
is a great idea. Take a long walk
with the kids. Make sure you bring
a basket along.Pick flowers as you go.
Everyone needs a breath of fresh air
sometimes. Walking is wonderful exercise,
get up and out there.

There's always something going
on at your local library. Great place
to be on a summer's day.Check their
calendar of events.Most of the time
they have contests. The kids will love
to enter and win a prize.

Are the kids missing their friends
yet? If so,it is time to schedule a
PLAY DATE. It will give you time to
run some errands,and a break from
the little people. The kids will enjoy
spending an afternoon with their buddies.

When the kids are restless
at night,catch some bugs.
Beautiful bugs, can be found
invading your yard when the
sun has gone down. Let the kids
capture the bugs,and ofcourse release
them. This is a great way for them
to learn about nature.

We all know a day at the beach
is fun. It is even better when it's
hot outside.We all get cranky when the weather
is steamy. Just looking at the cool blue
water makes us feel so much better. Don't
forget the sunscreen.

I love your idea about going out in the country with the kids. My parents own a Farm and so we take the kids there to see the cows and chicken. There's a little trail by the side of the house and it's great to have the kids walking with me and my husband down that trail. Great tips JCNA!!
