hi all
i dont know if what you are saying is totally accurate - we design and produce our own clothing and post it on my clozet for sale
i agree if it is something from your closet for sale, the price should be discounted but there are a lot of new designers that do not have their own websites that are using myclozet as a forum to sell their clothing by displaying their samples

so if we make a blouse or pants or suit, it would be made specifically for a particular buyer and a price of $5 or $10 would not even cover the fabric let alone the labour.....

Those who are making their own designs should try setting up their own website though & putting your designs on here to sell but still having your own website to advertise so that way when you price your items it wont shock buyers.

There is a little of everything here.
The prices are high and low. Does
anybody know what really sells?Most
of the merchandise get many looks, but
no buyers. I know the price has plenty
to do with it. Name some of the items
you sold.

I think my prices are fair on my clozet, I have items that are in new condition or good condition and worn once or a few times only. Still I am finding it difficult time to sell my items, maybe it's not what people are looking for, but I have some other clothing that will soon be posted up too, hopefully someone will find something they need because I really have to get rid off them, lol. Well, great advices everyone!

To chinadoll595: I think there are people who buy the replicas of brand name items such as Coach purses, clothing, etc., but you know it just depends on the person, some people may be able to afford the real thing and so they don’t mind buying and some people may just take the replicas because they can’t afford the real ones yet. My sister use to buy replicas and they looked fine, they weren’t exactly made out of the same materials, but they looked almost like the real ones! For sure I will buy replicas, but I won’t sell them to people unless they’re the real thing. But If I can’t afford a real brand name purse like Coach for now, I will just take the replica until I can buy the actual one! : D

To: mmcnary>>I think a majority of people on Myclozet are Sellers as well as Buyers. I am selling my items on here, but I also like to shop in other people’s clozet because who knows, maybe I will see something that I like! Like that saying “Another person’s junk is another person’s treasure!” I will be sure to look around for things, so if you have anything for sell, just post them on here and I will check it out!

To Eva G Designs: I totally understand what you mean, if I was a new designer trying to get my fashion out I will probably sell it for more, because of all the supplies and cost. I craft my own jewelries and so I know where your coming from, it’s rough, because sometimes you sell for what you need in order to make profit and yet no one buys because they say it’s too pricey, but they have to understand that it also cost a lot of money to make the items. Well, I will check out your clozet, I love to look for new things!! Good luck with your sells!

Myclozet is growing!! I am spreading the news through my facebook and myspace! I am sure more people will join. I was saying that I have seen people asking for a lot for a top, but as Eva G Designs stated some of these items maybe be brand new items that were just designed. I am sure no one would want to purchase a used item for a higher price, but if it was a new item, I wouldn't mind at all. I know I sell my stuff for way lower than what some consignments stores would sell them for, so if you guys look at my stuff, they're pretty reasonable.

I have sold all of the clothing that I posted up here and I still have more that needs to be sold off, they're all in good condition too. I will probably post up some pictures in a few weeks.
